JUBILEE WEDDING REJOICINGS. Mr. And Mrs.
Daniel Thomas, Burden Hall Farm, Wenvoe,
celebrated their jubilee wedding on Friday last.
This venerable couple are well-known throughout
the country, and are deservedly highly respected.
They have resided at Wenvoe for the past twelve
years, and previously farmed for many years at
Monknash, near Bridgend. Mr. Thomas is
seventy-nine years, and is still hale and hearty,
as is indeed Mrs. Thomas, who is seventy-three
years of age. The proceedings on Friday last were
very interesting. All the members of the family
to the number of thirty and who all
resided in Glamorganshire were present,
including the following eleven children of Mr.
And Mrs. Thomas:- Mr. W. Thomas, auctioneer,
Cadoxton; Mr. R. Thomas, Great Western Hotel,
Gyfeillion near Pontypridd; Mrs. Williams,
Tredegar Arms, Pontypridd; Mr. Daniel Thomas and
Miss Thomas, Bute Hotel, Treherbert; Mrs. Thomas,
Llanbrain Farm, Llantwit-Fardre; Mrs Gabrielle,
Canton; Mr. John Thomas, hay merchant,
Pontypridd; Mr. Joseph Thomas, Brecon House,
Dinas Powis; Mr. Evan Thomas, hay merchant,
Treherbert; and Miss Thomas, Burden Hall Farm,
Wenvoe. During the day Mr. And Mrs. Thomas were
the recipients of many congratulations, and were
presented with a very handsome Welsh Bible as
well as a pair of gold rimmed spectacles each.
The whole party were photographed during the
afternoon.
